Leaked GYEEDA report not the final document - Mahama

President John Mahama says the leaked investigative report regarding the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) programme is not the final document.
He told civil society groups at the Flagstaff House on Monday that the report in circulation only covered work in progress regarding the GYEEDA investigation.

Mr. Mahama said the final report will be published once the review committee has finished its work.
Earlier the same day, President Mahama conceded that the GYEEDA programme run into problems because of “poor management”.

In what appears to be his first public comments on the social intervention programme after an investigative committee completed its work on alleged financial malfeasance regarding the programme, Mr. Mahama told Journalists at the Flagstaff House that GYEEDA will be remodeled soon.

“GYEEDA has run into some problems because of poor management and coordination,” the President conceded.
He, however, noted that the government will overhaul the programme to make it functional again.
“…The government is working on that,” he assured.

According to him, “We are going to restructure GYEEDA and let it achieve the objective for which it actually was set up”.
A cloud of corruption has been swirling around GYEEDA for a few months now.
There have been several media revelations which have indicted some of the service providers of corruption.
Mr. Mahama, who addressed the youth at the Flagstaff House to mark international youth day, said the Government will not gloss over the details.
