On 6 March 2014, Ghana celebrated its
57th Independence Day. Akufo-Addo spent the day at his residence,
receiving visitors and well wishers, who came by to welcome him from his
short stay in London. He also took the opportunity to wish Ghanaians a
Happy Independence Day and encouraged them to work hard towards the
"Ghana Project"
