“2014 is a crucial year for NPP”-Effah-Dartey.

Captain (retired) Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey, Aspiring General Secretary of the new Patriotic Party (NPP), has said the party’s decisions and indecisions in 2014 would determine its fate in the 2016 General Elections.
He said the year was a crucial period for the NPP since it was a time for the party to elect its regional and national executive members to machinate it to victory.

“The calibre of persons we elect as constituency, regional and national executive members of the party this year will indicate if we can recapture power from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2016 or not,” he said.
Captain Effah-Dartey was speaking to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an interview in Koforidua on Wednesday.
The Aspiring General Secretary wished the constituency and regional executive of the party well in the year, reminding them that victory for the NPP in 2016 was in their hands to give this year.

He urged them to endeavour to elect correct, down-to-earth, strong-willed and vigilant leaders who could lead the party to win power but not leaders who merely would influence their votes with money and lead the NPP nowhere.
Captain Effah-Dartey cautioned party faithful, especially the communication team members to guard against irresponsible statements, comments or remarks that could empower the NDC to dent the image of the NPP.
“I would also wish to call on all NPP stalwarts who for some reasons left the party to come back since their ideas, counsels and expertise are very much needed in this crucial year,” he added.

He also urged party members to unite, do away with gratuitous factionalism and forge ahead in harmony to recapture power and bring economic freedom to Ghanaians.
“It is clear now that Ghanaians are yearning to see the NPP come to power and salvage them from their present economic predicament but that will only happen if we, as party faithful, organize ourselves well,” he said.
