OFFICIAL: Ghana names 26-man squad for World Cup.


Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah announced his 26-man squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Captain Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Muntari are the only players in the squad who will be gunning for their third consecutive World Cup finals after both featured at the 2006 and 2010 World Cups.

The list will be pruned to 23 after the friendly with Holland on May 31.

Ghana edged Egypt over two-legs to in the final qualifying play-off to reach their third-straight World Cup.

The Black Stars are in Group G at the World Cup, alongside former winners, Germany, Portugal and the U.S.

Their opening game will be against U.S in Natal on 16 June.
