NPP needs me to win 2016 elections – Effah-Dartey

If you are an executive in the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) and you could not bring the party to power, you have failed” an aspiring General Secretary, Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey (Rtd.) has noted.

He said the NPP urgently needs someone of his caliber to recapture power from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2016.

“We don’t have time for experimentation and jokes. At this material moment, the type of person we [NPP] need to be General Secretary of our party is Captain Nkrabeah Effah-Dartey (Rtd.)”, he stressed.

Capt Effah-Dartey was speaking in an exclusive interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme on Friday.

According to him, should he be elected General Secretary of the NPP, he would ensure that polling and constituency executives were adequately resourced to enable them work efficiently in canvassing for more supporters to vote in the next elections.

The former Member of Parliament for Brekum pledged to garner votes from the Brong Ahafo region because “it is the key to the success of NPP’s victory in 2016”.

“Looking at my background as a former soldier, former MP, former deputy Minister of State, I have no doubt in my mind that NPP delegates will give me the node to be the General Secretary”.

Capt Effah-Dartey said the NPP is on a crossroads between life and death and needs a political strategist like him to win 2016 election.
