Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist widely regarded as the most important scientist of the 20th century. He was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect in 1905 and "for his services to Theoretical Physics". However, when Einstein was young, his parents thought he was mentally retarded. His grades in school were so poor that a teacher asked him to quit, saying, "Einstein, you will never amount to anything!" and his list of failures continue.

He dropped out of school at age 15. . In 1905, he published four research papers that outlined his theories on relativity, equivalence of mass and energy (e=mc2), Brownian motion, and the photon theory of light. The theory of relativity was very controversial, and although it was proven in 1919, the Nobel committee did not mention it when bestowing the prize.

'It's been a tough week:' Obama vows to learn the motives of Boston bombers... if they had any help

Relief
Relief: President Barack Obama praised the law enforcement officials who worked together to apprehend marathon bombing suspect, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19

President Barack Obama declared Friday night that the capture of a second suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings 'closed an important chapter in this tragedy.'
But he acknowledged that many unanswered questions remain about the motivations of the two men accused of perpetrating the attacks that unnerved the nation.
'The families of those killed so senselessly deserve answers,' said Obama, who branded the suspects 'terrorists.'

The president spoke from the White House briefing room after 10pm on the East Coast, just over an hour after law enforcement officials apprehended 19-year-old Dzhokhar Tsarnaev.

Marathon bomb suspect eludes police, hunt paralyzes Boston.

Boston Bombing Suspects  Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19 and the dead man as his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26.

The normally traffic-clogged streets of Boston were empty as the city went into virtual lockdown after a bloody night of shooting and explosions. Public transport was suspended, air space restricted and famous universities, including Harvard and MIT, closed after police ordered residents to remain at home.
Officials identified the fugitive as Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19, and the dead man as his brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, who was killed Thursday night in the working class suburb of Watertown.
Details emerged on Friday about the brothers, including their origins in the predominantly Muslim regions of Russia's Caucasus, which have experienced two decades of violence since the fall of the Soviet Union.
The fugitive described himself on a social network as a minority from a region that includes Chechnya, Dagestan and Ingushetia.

Monday's bombing on the finish line of the world-famous Boston Marathon, which killed three people and injured 176, was described by President Barack Obama as "an act of terrorism." It was the worst such attack on U.S. soil since the plane hijackings of September 11, 2001.
A man who told reporters he was an uncle of the brothers said they came to the United States in the early 2000s and settled in the Cambridge, Massachusetts, area.

The statue, which weighs five tonnes and is made of white fibreglass, shows the pope standing with outstretched arms with a gold cross around his neck.

Free at last: David Bryant cries tears of joy after being released from prison
Free man: David Bryant, 56, from Bronx, has been released from prison after serving 39 years for the murder of an 8-year-old girl he says he did not commit.
A man who was released from jail after almost 40 years when a judge ruled he did not receive a fair trial has spent his first days of freedom enjoying how much technology, food and bedding has changed since 1975.
David Bryant, now 56, was dramatically sprung on Thursday after a Bronx judge ruled that his defense during hearings into the brutal rape and murder of an 8-year-old girl had been flawed.
The man, who was just 18 when he was imprisoned, looked at an iPad and iPhone with amazement, according to the New York Post.

'Wow, this is all new!' Bryant said as he used the tablet.
When he picked up a smart phone bought for him by the advocacy group that helped get him released, he remembered that in 1975 everyone dialed with a rotary phone.
'The last time I was out, it was ‘tick, tick, tick,'' Bryant said as he motioned with his hand.

Food was also a surprise to the newly-released man. 'I couldn’t believe how

Mentukwa: 13-year-old forced into marriage through prophecy.

Visibly shy and sad faced Ajovi [not her real name] is seated in a couch in her mother's sitting room. She remains tensed up even though we have told her to keep calm and trust us. We had to reassure her throughout the interview that we meant no harm.

Two years ago, she was forced to leave her home in Aflao for the camp at Mentukwa near Pokukrom, Kumasi, a place that was far away from everything and everyone she knew. As if this was not enough, she was forced, at a young age 13-years, into marrying a 19 year old 'partner' in the camp: the reason being that Prophetess Helen Jesus Christ had seen their union in one of her several 'divine' prophecies.

Astronomers spot 'Ghostbusters' glowing green blob deep in space

It looks unlike any other dying star, but the ghostly green blob spotted 3300 light years from Earth is in fact a unique nebula.
The intriguing new picture from ESO’s Very Large Telescope shows the glowing green planetary nebula IC 1295 surrounding a dim and dying star located about 3300 light-years away in the constellation of Scutum (The Shield).
The strange blob has been likened to one of the ghosts from the hit film Ghostbusters.

Kanye West Sued Over "Gold Digger" Single

Rapping about a "Gold Digger" could end up costing Kanye West now that the children of late singer David Pryor have named Yeezy in an alleged 15-year "copyright infringement scheme."
While it's common knowledge that Ye's 2005 hit featuring Jamie Foxx samples Ray Charles' "I Got a Woman," sister and brother Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor believe their father, who died in 2006, also deserves credit.

Their father was a former member of Thunder and Lightning and can be heard on the group's 1974 song "Bumpin' Bus Stop" saying, "get down with the bus stop."

Saudi Arabian Government Mulls Ban Of WhatsApp, Skype And Viber Over Regulatory Requirements.

Saudi Arabia is looking at a potential block of services including WhatsApp, Skype and Viber that allow VOiP, messaging and real-time chat according to the country’s official press agency (via CNET). The potential service blockage is a response to these apps not adhering to regulatory requirements put in place by the Saudi Arabian government, and seems to mirror the trouble BlackBerry had with its own BBM offering back in 2010.

While the Saudi authorities don’t come right out and say it, the reason behind this new ban, as with the previous BlackBerry ban, is that Skype, Viber and WhatsApp don’t allow their customers’ exchanges to be monitored by government agencies. CNN reports that political protests in Saudi Arabia have been partially organized via WhatsApp. Those kinds of demonstrations are completely illegal in the country, which may explain why WhatsApp and similar tools have now drawn the ire of regulatory enforcers.
